Modern motion backgrounds church1/27/2024 My favorite motion backgrounds seem like they come alive when they’re projected. The perfect motion’s animations flow with music and add value to the environment without taking away from the moment. Have you ever seen a motion that seemed like it drank a couple Redbulls before service? While animations provide a great way to create an engaging atmosphere, you must be careful that they aren’t too distracting. The best motions avoid light colors and bright animations that would make white text difficult to see. White is the brightest color you can get out of projector, it stands out from other colors, and it’s easy to read. I would estimate that around 90% of lyrics being projected in churches on Sundays are using white text. Ditch the doves, hi-tech themes, and waterfalls, then choose motions that fit in with today’s styles. Part of looking good is following current design trends. The very purpose of a background is to make slides visually pleasing. It seems right to begin this list with the first characteristic that makes or breaks a motion for me. Here are six qualities that should be non-negotiable when choosing your motion backgrounds: 1. There are certain qualities that you should look for before spending your ministry’s money on this content. However, not all motions are created equal. There’s no shortage of selection when you’re shopping for backgrounds to display behind your church’s worship lyrics. Church Media Design – another great site with some free backgrounds.Did you know that there are nearly 17,000 motion backgrounds available for download today? The amazing thing is that number only includes motions that were specifically created to be used in ministry settings. No yearly subscription but has a free weekly background and $45/20 backgrounds.but if you buy 2 compilations the 3rd is free. Motion Loops – a great site that’s not connected to the church but has some fun/fast colored backgrounds.Igniter Media – $349/yr (this is a bit pricey for me, but when I think about all the videos I buy from WHM and most of them are from Igniter, this is pretty good deal!).Centerline New Media – $199/yr (great site with a free weekly video…these videos aren’t always what I’m looking for compared to Shift and Motion).Shift Worship – $125/yr (another great site with weekly updates). There are tons of sites out there now, but what I have found the best are these subscription sites: I’ve been following Josiah for a few years now and he has really worked hard to get this site where it needs to be! He recently announced this video, and its a great piece of marketing! One of my favorite places to go for worship slides is Motion Worship. Now we don’t all have time to be making our worship slides look like these, but we can do our best to enhance our worship with backgrounds that fit the song, tempo and mood. They don’t fit the tempo of the song they are singing about. They don’t fit the song they are singing about. Here are 3 of my biggest pet peeves about worship backgrounds: I’d even say that some of the conferences I go to, don’t really intentionally think about what background they are slapping up behind the words! I was recently visiting with a few colleagues of mine and their lack of knowledge about moving backgrounds stunned me, so I thought that maybe there are others out there having to sing “Say So” or “I Am Free” or “Amazing Grace” while watching clouds the whole time. Since nobody has said they don’t like it, that must mean they like it!Īs the Director of Worship and Music at my church, I am in charge of making the worship slides for all the music we do each Sunday. Does this phrase ever go through your head? And then you think, well we don’t really have the budget to spend a ton of money on new backgrounds each week, so we’ll just use the same moving clouds background we have been using for the last 5 years.
